I am looking at different online loans through websites (lending tree, credit union, e-loans, ect.) and wanna know if l qualify, my rate and all that. l was wondering if l apply online, is the ''deal'' set once l apply or will l have a chance to look at rate and compare with others and then choose?

If you are any way related to military, l would go with USAA. They have great rates and wonderful service.

As much as online lenders would love for u to believe they have the lowest rates, the truth is most of the time they don't. To make things even more difficult, u r unable to sit down with an actual person & go over paperwork with ur loan. You have to wait for it to be mailed to you. Everything must be done over the phone & via mail. That means waiting for the approval, signing things & mailing them back, waiting for the check,etc, By the time the whole process is finished the car u were looking at may already be sold.

Honestly, ur best bet is to check with ur local credit unions. They typically have the best rates.

To answer ur original question the ''deal'' is not set until u sign paperwork stating that u accept the lender is terms & conditions. You can apply for as many online loans as u want, but u r not locked into a contract until ur sign on the dotted line.

Almost all the website offer a free quote. That is you do not have to pay will apply if you are comfortable with the rates and all the terms, then only you can confirm. You can gets several quotes from different lenders. But mind that your point may be deducted for having many quotes.
