You are entitled to view all 3 of your credit reports once a year, but it will not divulge your credit score.

You do not need to use, or indeed have, a credit card to view your credit file. Experian are one company who you can check with, they have an online check that is free to trial for 30 days (although you do have to have credit/debit card details if you wish to continue to the paid version).

l think you can also just write to the companies as well to get a credit file sent for a small fee. The details should be on the websites of the companies.
