l just noticed it now, and l wo not get paid until later tonight so l cant pay it off for a couple more hours, what is going to happen?

Pay it off as soon as you can. You may get the payment in before the next billing cycle, which may be good enough./

Fico Forums says that it will not hurt your score more than it hurts when you max out your card, which is what you seem to be doing.

Another interesting advise is to pay immediately, call them and ask them not to report.

From my experience, most credit card companies will charge you an ''over the limit'' fee - regardless of the amount over -even if it is only for 1 day. If you are in good standing with them you could request the fee be reversed.

You should called the credit company and trying to pay the overage as soon as possible or ask for a higher limit. l was late on a bill and called and they waved the fee because it was my first time.

Credit Card companies can be less than forgiving. The second u went over ur credit limit(it does not matter if it was 7 cents, 7$ or $700) u will be assessed an over the limit fee. This is all computerized & automatic.

Also, depending on ur credit card company that could automatically trigger clauses in the agreement that says they can automatically end any promotional rate u may have had & raise ur interest to a higher amount.

The best thing to do is pay it down ASAP. If u r charged a fee give them a call & if it is ur first time they may waive the fee as a one time thing. However, if ur interest rate was raised credit card companies rarely will do the same ''courtesy'' to the interest rate.

Now, this is just in terms of the credit card company. If u r maxing out ur cards ur credit score is taking a hit also. So ideally u need to get those down as much as possible, & not going over 30% of ur total limit is going to be best.

Just pay it in the Bank tomorrow before noon.
